Lustre Boys Are Eastern C Track Champions
Lustre Christian earned 97 points to claim the Eastern C boys’ track championship during the divisional meet held in Wolf Point on Thursday, May 16.
Plentywood placed second with 81 points while Scobey was right behind with 80 points.
The top three girls’ teams were Scobey with 118, Savage with 84.5 and Saco with 83 points.
Prestyn Klatt and Terran Joseph were each double- winners for the Lions. Klatt earned first in the 1600 at 4:48.65 and first in the 3200 at 10:50.78. Joseph took first in the 200 at 22.88 seconds and first in the 400 at 51.53 seconds.
Joseph took third in the 100 at 11.66 seconds.
Johnslee Pierre earned first in the long jump at 21-4. He was second in the 110-meter hurdles at 16.03 and second in the triple jump at 44-7.
The 1600-meter relay team featuring Brian Guedes, Byron Ewing, Joseph and Pierre finished first with a time of 3:33.43.
The 400-meter relay team consisting of Emeka Aniobi, Ewing, Guedes and Joseph was second at 45.72.
Diek Olfert took fourth place in the 800 at 2:11.30.
Guedes took first in the long jump with a mark of 19-1.
Cameron Reddig earned sixth in the triple jump at 385.
