Wolf Point Class Of 2024 Celebrates Graduation
Wolf Point High School conducted its commencement exercises to honor the Class of 2024 on Sunday, May 26.
Principal Kim Hanks described the students as an amazing group with accomplishments in several fields including athletics, academics, drama and music. She said each of the students has the ability to achieve their goals.
Co-valedictorians for the class of 48 students were Kaylee Johnson and Jacob Lien. Salutatorian was Maddox Reum.
In her address, Johnson said during her high school experience she learned to not be afraid to take the road less traveled. She said a different path is not about being a leader or follower, but it’s about being your own person.
Johnson described the class as being trailblazers. “We have pursued our passions and dreams,” she said. She asked that students be bridge builders and peace makers in a world that seems divided.
Lien noted that he entered high school as a shy and nervous person. By his junior year, Lien experienced a personality change. He said he wasn’t the only student who has changed, and that it was great how the students have grown.
Reum talked about the importance of family in people’s lives. He thanked his parents and siblings for their support. “I don’t know what I would do with a normal family,” Reum joked.
He added, “With family, you can achieve anything in life.”
Honor student addresses were delivered by Delano Eymard and Ryan Schumacher.
Eymard thanked the individuals who impacted his life at the school including friends and teachers Russell Johnson, Jacob Boysun and Doug Evans.
Schumacher talked about time management. He said students are moving on for more happiness and that change brings success.
