Best Ball Tournament Attracts 46 Teams

Wolf Point’s Airport Golf Course held its annual twoman best ball tournament this past weekend, which consisted of 46 two-man teams with players from around Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Colorado.

Winners of the first division were Tyrell Smith and Verdell Thunderhorse, second place went to Shane Patacsil and Cody Mattfeldt, third place Morgan Norgaard and Neil Gelinas, fourth place David Gordon and Shane Patacsil Jr., tie for fifth place were Easton Copenhaver and Austin Stradley, and Jeremaiah Whitright and Gary Fisher.

In division two, the winners were Isaiah Laurence and Noah Lawrence, second place Pierce Fox-Dean and J’Shaun Gillette, third place Pete Stiffarm and Ian Windyboy-Stamper, fourth place Carroll Howlingwolf and Weston Smith and fifth Marques Whitehorse and Ty Nelson.

The support of local businesses is paramount to the tournament committee who express their appreciation to the sponsors. All the proceeds from this tournament will be used to help purchase new equipment and also fund other projects going on around the course.
