Commissioners Approve Gravel Bids

The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved two bids for gravel during a meeting last week. Bishop Inc. of Malta was awarded both of the bids.

One of the bids was for 13,500 tons of three-quarter inch minus gravel to be stockpiled at the Colgan Pit, located six miles north of Poplar. Delivery is to be completed by Oct. 15.

Bid for the Colgan Pit gravel is $89,250.

The other bid was for 26,000 tons of one-inch minus gravel to be stockpiled at the Picard Pit, north of Bainville. Delivery is to be completed by Oct. 15.

Bid for the Picard Pit gravel is $145,000.
