Humanities Montana Grant Cycle Open, Groups In Eastern Montana Encouraged To Apply
Humanities Montana, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, is now accepting grant applications from organizations such as nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, state and local agencies (schools, libraries, museums, etc.), and Native American tribal governments and tribal organizations. While the program is state-wide, this grant cycle organizations in the eastern half of Montana are especially encouraged to apply.
The Humanities Montana grants range from $500 stipends to support public book clubs, $2,000 Mini-Grants to support smaller projects, and Film and Video grants up to $10,000 to support the production of documentary films about Montana. The next application deadline for Community Project Grants between $2,000-$10,000 and Film and Video Grants up to $10,000 is Aug. 1.
“The Humanities Montana grant program supports grassroots efforts to bring people together to learn, collaborate, and grow through meaningful conversations and humanities programs,” said Jill Baker, executive director of Humanities Montana. “The grantmaking program allows local partners who have intimate knowledge of their community to meet those needs through the financial support of Humanities Montana,” Baker noted.
