Wo’kinihan STEM Speaker Series Planned
A Science~Technology~ Engineering~Math speaker series is planned for July 2-23 at the Greet the Dawn auditorium in Poplar.
The series is dedicate to “connecting indigenous ways of knowing with western understanding.”
Stipends are available at $100 per session for high school students and current FPCC students.
Speakers will include ethnobotanist and NATIFS outreach coordinator Linda Black Elk (July 9-10); Roxann Smith and Les Big Horn will discuss the Buffalo Ranch Walking Path (July 15), MSU-N faculty will host an engineering and math workshop (July 16) and Scott Smoker will host technology demonstrations (July 22). A series wrap up luncheon is set for July 23.
