The crew at Wired Bean Coffee celebrated their grand opening July 5-6 at their new location in Wolf Point. Ann and Ken Landsrud and daughters Rebekah and Kendra are offering locally roasted Wild Calf Coffee and espresso, as well as Lotus Energy drinks, Big Train Frappes and full menu of beverages on the north side of U.S. Highway 2. The business name stems from Ken Landsrud’s regular job as Mr. Wire Electric.

The Landsruds kicked off their new drive-through coffee shop with a soft opening in June, leading up to a formal start last week. Ann Landsrud said traffic was great during the grand opening event. She said the line for orders was three or four cars deep most of the time. “I was exhausted,” she said. “I didn’t even get to eat until 6 p.m.”

Ann and Rebekah met with Scott Keen from the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture to receive a First Dollar certificate after joining the organization.

Along with a wide variety of drinks, Wired Bean is offering great snacks and sweets from Sutton’s Sweet Crumb Micro Bakery, a local business owned and operated by Wolf Point locals Brandy Sutton and her daughter Alex.

Landsrud told the Northern Plains Independent that she’s pushing drinks specials for the Stampede weekend coming up, including $10 drink buckets refillable all weekend for $5, excluding coffee drinks and frappes.

Wired Bean Coffee is located at 530 U.S. Highway 2. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call 406-9704777 for more information or visit their Facebook page.
