Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 103 calls from July 8-15. The incidents included: July 8

Deputies responded to a report that, on U.S. Highway 2 mile marker 646, near Culbertson, a male driver lost control of a trailer, went into a ditch and partially blocked the highway. Deputies provided traffic control. A towing company from Fairview took the vehicle away.

Deputies assisted an ambulance in Wolf Point on Idaho Street for a highly intoxicated male who was on the ground.

July 9

Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Fourth Avenue South in Wolf Point. The Montana Highway Patrol then became the primary agency. An ambulance transported an adult female to the hospital.

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call near Wolf Point. The Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice arrested Feather Cantrell. Roosevelt County transported her to jail.

July 10

Deputies responded to U.S. Highway 2, mile marker 654, near Bainville, for an argument between a male standing on the grass and a female on a motorcycle. The male claimed he was assaulted. Amy Friederick, 47, of Winneconne, Wis., was arrested for partner/family member assault.

On authority of a warrant, deputies arrested Braden Rhodes, 33, in Culbertson. He was transported to the Roosevelt County jail where he posted a bond and was taken back to Culbertson.

Deputies responded to the Buckhorn Bar for a report of a female disturbing other customers. After she was advised to leave by deputies, she left the business.

July 12

Deputies detained two brothers on Main Street in Wolf Point. One of the males was arrested on a tribal warrant and taken to the Fort Peck tribal jail.

Deputies were told that there was underage drinking going on at the area known as “Cow Camp.” Deputies didn’t find anyone at the party who was under 21 years of age.

Deputies responded to a location near the powwow grounds in Wolf Point for a report of a male and female arguing. Misty Yellowhammer, 36, was arrested on the authority of a warrant.

After checking residences on Idaho Street, deputies found that a male fled and hid near the river. FPTDLJ used a drone and the county brought in an ATV to try to find the suspect, but he wasn’t located.

Deputies and the Wolf Point City Police broke up a fight between two females in front of Dad’s Bar.

July 13

Deputies responded to a report of a couple fighting on Idaho Street in Wolf Point. The female had an active tribal warrant. Erin Miller, 39, was placed under arrest and taken to tribal jail.

July 14

Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle in Culbertson. The vehicle was later located and towed back home. The incident is still under investigation.

In addition, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city limits, 29; Wolf Point rural, six; Wolf Point FPHA, six; Poplar city limits, one; Poplar rural, nine; Poplar FPHA, four; Culbertson town, nine; Culbertson rural, seven; Bainville town, two; Bainville rural, five; Froid town, one; Froid rural, six; Fort Kipp, two; total, 103.
