Gas Prices Drop In State During Week

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 1.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.52/g on Monday, July 22, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 11.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 20.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 4.0 cents in the last week and stands at $3.79 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.31/g on Sunday, July 21, while the most expensive was $3.99/g, a difference of 68.0 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.47/g today. The national average is up 3.5 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 9.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
