From The Pastor’s Desk

We sit half-way through the summer and thanks to the generosity of the folks of Wolf Point and beyond, the Community Bible Church has been able to expand as it reaches out to serve the community.

So far this summer, we have served 360 breakfasts on Saturday mornings. Hot ham and cheese on a muffin, coffee, hot chocolate, water and doughnuts have been enjoyed. Because of the donation of a four burner BBQ grill, we had a great time on the Fourth of July serving over 80 hot dogs and cold drinks. The grill has also been used at other area functions.

On these extra hot days, you may see the “Green Bean” stopped and giving out bottles of cold water.

Eight folks were out for the Saturday rodeo parade, giving out over 200 bottles of ice-cold water. Each bottle of water shared a promise from Jesus. When He was at the well and asked a woman for a drink, then turned around and told her that He could give her water that was so wonderful she would never thirst again. He loved sharing the water and the promise. “If you drink of the water, I have you will never thirst again.”

The “Hubbard’s Cupboard” has reopened; the clothing room has moved and has added a food cupboard. Linda Hubbard has posted new hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11 a.m.

As always, we appreciate your donations of clothing and non-perishable food items. They can be dropped off anytime that the cupboards are open. A big thank you in advance.
