Gas Prices Drop 1.4 Cents During Week
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.48/g on Monday, Aug. 19, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 5.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 49.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
The national average price of diesel has declined 2.6 cents in the last week and stands at $3.69 per gallon- the lowest level in 940 days.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $3.24/g on Sunday, Aug. 18, while the most expensive was $4.54/g, a difference of $1.30/g.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 4.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.37/g today.
The national average is down 11.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 47.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
