an error in the new proposed agreement between the county and city regarding the justice of the peace and city court. The agreement read, “The city shall compensate the county for those services performed by paying the county $17,047.59 per year and $1,420.63 per month.”

Dschaak said that the word “and” should instead be “or.”

Commissioners and city officials will hold a meeting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, to discuss the agreement.

On topic during the meeting was the county paying for law enforcement employees to attend the law enforcement academy and then some individuals leaving the county job. Commissioner Robert Toavs suggested that those employees should need to pay some of those funds back to the county. Sheriff Jason Frederick said such an agreement would need to be made with the union.
