Frazer Bearcubs Look Forward To Volleyball Season
The Frazer Bearcubs have 10 athletes out for volleyball this fall.
Returning players for the Bearcubs include sophomore Aubrey Mail, junior Isabelle Fourstar, freshman Maci Fourstar-Sibley, freshman Kassidy Hentges, freshman Mariah Beston and senior Baily Beston.
After being an assistant coach last season, Nyah DeRyke is the team’s head coach this year.
“My goal is to create a good environment for the team,” DeRye said. “I want more clean touches of the ball.”
She feels defense will be a strength for the Bearcubs. “We’re pretty quick on the ground,” she said.
Top teams in the league are anticipated to include Scobey, North Country and Plentywood.
The Bearcubs will open their season in Culbertson on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Frazer will host MonDak on Thursday, Sept. 5.
