Dear Editor:

Do you feel safe in Wolf Point when you snuggle down in your cozy bed at night? I did, too, until I was rudely awaken at 1:45 a.m. by a “Home Invasion” which was in progress!

I was so terrified, I screamed! This caused the perp to quickly depart, but not before he got through three locks on our outer back entryway door and one lock on the inner entryway door. The second lock he was working on was a bit more stubborn, so he had to take a wood chisel to it.

Now, you can ask another Wolf Point resident what happened when the “Home Invasion” gained entrance to his house. We heard that that the resident was beaten unmercifully with a wrench with intent to kill and he had his wallet stolen.

Have you already experienced an attack, or are you now a target for an intended victim? Do we now sleep with a loaded gun? You can bet your boots we do. Evelyn Wagner
