Diener Enjoying Role For Wolf Point Chamber
Jayden Diener is enjoying her new opportunity as the executive director of the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
“I’m excited. I love planning events,” Diener said. “We have a great community.”
She started in the position near the end of May after moving to Wolf Point in order to be with her boyfriend, Paul Nygaard. “I really think the community is for small businesses,” Diener said of what interested her about the position. “Having the support of the community is super important to a small business.”
She has small business experience after running a small coffee stand outside of Lewistown.
“The business side is something that I really understand,” she said.
One of her goals is to bring back popular events such as Dinner on the Bridge. She said, ultimately, she would like to offer one chamber event each month.
Another change for the Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is that Jerald Petersen is in the office serving as the organization’s accountant. The long-time chamber board member is working to bring the group’s finances process more up to date.
Diener has also started a monthly newsletter. She encourages people and organizations to send in their events, open houses and specials to wolfpointchamber@gmail. com.
