TEB Passes Budgets, Weinberger Selected As Lead Prosecutorial Specialist
The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular full board meeting Aug. 26-27 in Poplar.
During Law and Justice, a motion was passed to grant FPHA the authority to prepare and submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development a fiscal year 2024 IHBG Competitive Program Grant application.
The board voted to accept and authorize the selection of Adrienne Weinberger as tribal court lead prosecutorial specialist.
A lease was approved for the Fort Peck Tribes HeadStart.
The board voted to authorize the Fort Peck Tribes Water Resource Office to submit the application request for $75,000 in N3420 Special Funds.
They also approved the implementation of a new salary table to be used in determining salaries for certified and uncertified correctional staff.
A motion was passed approving a three-year contract with Granite Peak Environmental LLC to complete Phases I and II environmental site assessments for feeto- trust land conveyances.
The board passed the FY25 budget and scope of work and approved the renewal of the Fort Peck Tribal Sponsorship Health Insurance Program contract with Indian Health Services as mature contract with an indefinite term.
The board approved a motion limiting the Fort Peck Tribal Health employee credit cards with Independence Bank to $2,000.
A memorandum of agreement was approved between the Fort Peck Housing Authority and the Fort Peck Tribal Health Services for animal control services for $50,000. A contract between Rebecca Shriver and the Fort Peck Tribes Call and Treatment Center in the amount of $30,000 was also approved.
The board authorized the dedication of the diabetes building in Poplar to be “In memory of Mary Fullerton and Ron Adams.”
They also authorized the utilization of the seven signature resolution to approve administering the remaining ARPA Fiscal Recovery Funds efficiently which include un-obligating/re-obligating, meeting required construction process tasks and other specialized tasks or processes as required.
A motion was approved naming the building located at 6021 George Washington St. in Poplar formally recognize it as Catka Wiyan (Karen First Walk-Lizotte).
The board authorized the approval of $95,733 for the Indian Child Welfare Act Programs.
The board also approved a drawdown of $5,795,000 from Trust account PL10008019. A drawdown of $18,224.142 from Trust account PL7233700 was also approved, which is the sum of the amounts projected and utilized to prepare the tribal budgets for fiscal years 2021 through 2023. The funds will be deposited in the tribes bank account #1031023 maintained at Independence Bank.
