Bainville Posts Win Over Cowgirls

Bainville posted a 25-15, 2025, 25-22, 25-10, league volleyball victory in Culbertson on Thursday, Sept. 12.

After the Bulldogs earned the first set, the Cowgirls gained an advantage on spikes by Jazzmin Fugere and Ayden Ator in the second set.

Culbertson moved ahead by a 23-20 margin. The Cowgirls ended the set on a spike by Mariana Burciaga and an ace by Ator.

Bainville gained a 20-13 lead on kills by Casey Myers in the third set. Elsie Wilson scored a kill for a 21-13 advantage.

After a kill by Culbertson’s Catherine Donaldson, the Bulldogs took a 23-16 lead on a kill by Addison Hansen and a tip by Lila Butikofer.

The net play of Emma Berwick led the Cowgirls back to as close as 24-22 before Bainville finished the game on a kill by Hailey Berwick.

The serving of Hansen and net play of H. Berwick helped the Bulldogs gain a 17-7 advantage in the fourth set.

A kill by Miah Pippenger and an ace by Wilson increased the gap to 21-8.

The Bulldogs accounted for the match’s final three points on the net play of Wilson and Pippenger.

Wilson served for 20 points and three aces in the victory. The senior had 10 kills and 10 digs.

H. Berwick finished with 14 digs and five kills. Butikofer had 10 digs and 29 assists.

Bainville’s Siena Martinez accounted for three aces and nine digs. Hanson added four aces and one block. Myers had nine digs and a block.
