Commissioners Approve Purchases
The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved a series of purchases during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
One of the purchases was for a snowblower to be used at the Wolf Point L.M. Clayton Airport. Cost is $11,540. The payment will be split between the City of the Wolf Point and the county.
Commissioners also approved the purchase of a 2024 Ram 4x4 cab for the maintenance department. Cost is $57,396.
Commissioner Gary Macdonald questioned whether the vehicle needed a grill guard because it only travels between the city and the landfill. All three commissioners ended up approving the purchase with the grill guard.
The commissioners then approved the request to have the Maternal Child Health Grant’s line item be increased in the amount of $12,987.85. The funds are a carried over from the State of Montana Department of Health and Human Services from the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
Commissioner Robert Toavs commented that the health department should do a better job of tracking its finances in the future.
Cynthia White resigned from the Aging Board.
