Indians Earn First In Havre

 

Poplar’s boys’ cross country squad earned first place in the team standings during the Havre Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 14. The Indians won with 56 points. Harlem placed second with 63 and Fairfield/ Choteau took third with 69 points.

Poplar’s Elijin Grey Bear finished in eighth place at 19:02.8. Issac Irizarry placed 10th with a time of 19:28.8.

Raylando Red Eagle earned 13th at 19:49.7. Jayden Eder was right behind in 14th place at 19:52.5. Wilder Bearcub took 15th at 20:00.8 Navarjo Escarcega finished 17th at 20:14.1. Stephen Smoker was 35th with a time of 21:18.3.

In the girls’ division, Poplar earned third with 52 points. Havre topped the standings with 38 points and Glasgow was second with 42 points.

Poplar’s Journey Gourneau finished fourth with a time of 21:25.1.

Mattie Falls Down placed eighth at 23:06.0. Kellyn Azure took 14th at 23:33.2.

Amelia Weeks earned 20th at 24:31.4. Cammie Martell placed 24th with a time of 25:26.6.

Alara Cooper took 33rd place at 26:38.3. Kelbee Redstone placed 38th at 27:10.4.
