Trustees Approve Extra-curricular Hires
The Wolf Point School Board approved the hiring of several extra-curricular positions during its meeting on Monday, Sept. 9.
Extra-curricular responsibilities approved to be handled by music director Jacob Bradshaw are pep band, Madrigal, high school band and chorus extra and junior high band and chorus extra.
Head coaches approved were Rodney Paulson for golf and Dan Horsmon for tennis. Assistant coaches hired were Bif Loucks and Ryan Wilson for girls’ basketball, Nicole Paulson for tennis, Jeremiah Whitright for golf and Jaki Harada for speech and drama.
Other positions included Joelle Page for 504 coordinator, Leslie Larson for food pantry coordinator, Cheryl Taylor for McKinney Vento liaison, Dawn Garfield for adult education coordinator, Dezi Adams and Andrea Baker for Northside PAX partner program, Dorian Talks Different and Prescilla Mendez for Southside Pax partner program and Grant Legare for EIS.
Resignations were received from Della Pipestem for Northside paraprofessional and Jason Brock for behavior learning center paraprofessional.
Board vice chair Keith Higgins has announced that he will resign from the board because he has moved out of District 1.
The school district will need to start a search for a new trustee in District 1.
Southside Elementary School Principal Tara Thomas reported a decrease in enrollment for kindergarten, first grade and second grade. Enrollment for third grade increased from 50 students to 63 students.
The Lil Wolves Afterschool program is scheduled for twice a week starting Oct. 21.
Northside Principal Georgie Gourneau said students are participating in a Book Blast activity with an opportunity to go home with 10 or more books.
