Volunteers Look At Stronger Booster Club
A group of parents and supporters attended a meeting last week to increase interest of a booster club in Wolf Point.
One of the ideas was establishing different levels to become a booster club member. Suggested prices were $150 for gold, $100 for silver and $75 for bronze. Different levels were also mentioned for businesses.
Discussion included ways to recognize boosters such as seating at basketball, wrestling and volleyball matches. Signs for businesses was also mentioned.
Items that the booster club hopes to fund include two scholarships, athletic camps, travel to camps and equipment. Organizers hope to establish fund-raising committees for each season. Committees will include fundraising and membership. Volunteers plan to be out at the Sept. 27 home football game in an attempt to recruit new members. One fund-raising idea was selling 50/50 tickets at some games.
The next booster club meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at the Tavern.
