Senior Profile Landsrud Bounces Back After Rough Start
The start of Seth Landsrud’s senior football season didn’t go as expected or as hoped for the Wolf Point High School senior.
After a good amount of off season work, Landsrud was eager to begin practices as the Wolves’ quarterback. Just a few practices into the season, however, Landsrud broke his right index finger when a teammate kicked him in the hand.
“I didn’t know if I could play this year,” Landsrud said of his feelings at the time.
A couple weeks later, he received word that he could in fact come back. He played on the defensive side during the season opener at defensive back and then returned at quarterback for the second game even though he was limited in throwing the football.
He is now much healthier and ready to play his best for the rest of the season.
“I feel a lot better and it doesn’t hurt anymore,” Landsrud said.
His goal is to win as many games as possible for the rest of the season.
This is Landsrud’s first year as Wolf Point’s starting varsity quarterback. He played running back and defensive back in prior seasons. He also competes in track for Wolf Point, but football is his favorite sport.
“I like it because of the values it teaches you as a person,” Landsrud said. “How to work as a team and overcome big challenges.”
His favorite classes are college and career along with weight lifting.
“I like the teachers and enjoy the classes,” he said.
Landsrud’s hobbies include playing games online and helping his father, Kenny, with the Mr. Wire business.
Seth’s plans are to attend the University of Washington and study aeronautics and astronautics.
“Working on airplanes and aircrafts sounds cool to me,” Landsrud said.
