UPDATE: Roosevelt County Sheriff Jason Frederick confirmed Thursday, Oct. 3, that Stan Moran Jr., 48, had been positively identified as the victim of Saturday's fire.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, an early morning fire occurred at an unoccupied building on the corner of Anaconda Street and First Avenue South in Wolf Point. The Wolf Point Volunteer Fire responded at about 4:30 a.m. to the building which formerly housed the Pizza Joint and, before that, Rick’s Barber Shop. An unidentified male was located after the fire was extinguished by the WPVFD. Law enforcement is requesting assistance from the community in reporting any missing individuals last seen that day.
