Forrest Likes Football, Reading, Government
Wolf Point High School senior Sean Forrest’s enjoyments in life include football and reading.
As a member of the Wolves’ football team, the 285-pound Forrest plays noseguard and offensive tackle.
“I like playing defense, noseguard,” Forrest said. “It’s fun to go hit somebody and make a stop on defense.”
His personal highlights of the season have included registering tackles for losses and stopping the opponent from gaining a first down.
Wolf Point’s 6-0 victory at Shepherd on Friday, Sept. 20, was a great defensive accomplishment.
“That was exciting,” Forrest said.
In his spare time, Forrest likes to read books especially selections regarding Native Americans.
“It’s interesting to see them overcame struggles and the process of their lives,” Forrest said.
A current book that he’s enjoying is There, There, which follows 12 characters from Native communities as they travel to the Big Oakland Powwow.
During track season, he competes in the shot put, discus and javelin.
His favorite class is government taught by Ryan Wilson. “He makes it interesting,” Forrest said. The senior transferred to Wolf Point from Poplar for his sophomore year.
After high school, he plans to attend Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas and study sports science.
