Indians Drop Close Match To Malta

The Poplar Indians took a strong Malta volleyball squad to five sets before losing the home conference match on Friday, Oct. 11.

Malta came away with a 19-25, 25-9, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12 victory.

Braelyn Nordwick led Poplar’s attack with 17 kills and five blocks.

Angelina Escarcega accounted for 36 digs. Rebecca Gorder finished with 29 assists. Lilliana O’Neal served three aces.

The Indians will host Glasgow on Friday, Oct. 18, and travel to Fairview on Saturday, Oct. 19.
