Froid/Lake Loses Close Match Against Scobey

 

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks took league leader Scobey to the wire before falling in five sets during home volleyball play on Friday, Oct. 25.

After Scobey won the first set by a 25-22 margin, the Red Hawks responded by winning the next two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-18.

Scobey then earned the final two sets by margins of 25-14 and 15-9.

“It was a super exciting match to watch,” Froid/Lake Coach Tarryn Woelber said. “It was good volleyball from both teams.”

Mara Salvevold finished with 11 kills and three blocks for the Red Hawks. Isabelle Nordwick scored 11 kills and four blocks.

Brooklynn Nordwick accounted for six kills, a block and four assists. Joelle Davidson had three kills and two blocks. Addison Elvsaas finished with seven assists. Jordyn Breuer scored three kills.

The district tournament starts on Thursday, Oct. 31, in Plentywood.
