Red Hawks Lose Final Game Of Season
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks dropped their final football game of the season in Terry by a 44-8 final on Saturday, Oct. 26.
After Terry scored the game’s first touchdown, the Red Hawks drove down to the Terry two but were held scoreless. The Terriers added a touchdown for a 14-0 advantage at the end of the opening quarter.
Terry went on to take a 28-0 half-time lead.
The Red Hawks got on the scoreboard when sophomore Rylan Young intercepted a pass and raced 78 yards for a touchdown. Carsen Kelm kicked the conversion to cut the margin to 28-8.
Terry held a 36-8 lead at the end of the third quarter.
After Terry scored with 8:24 remaining to put the margin at 44-8, the Red Hawks put together a final scoring threat. Passes from Young to Eddie Orozco and Jake Nordlund moved the ball inside Terry territory.
On the game’s final play from the Terry 30, Young connected with Nordlund on a short pass. The freshman ran down to the one before being tackled as time expired.
