Runners Place At Class C Meet
Culbertson/Bainville runners competed at the Class C state cross country meet in Missoula Saturday, Oct. 26.
Jade LoneBear finished in 34th place with a time of 24:28.6.
Rebekah Ellerkamp took 41st place with a time of 25:14.4.
The top teams in the girls’ division were Roberts with 23 points, West Yellowstone with 43, Manhattan Christian with 54, Drummond with 54 and Scobey with 57 points.
Whitewater’s Shelbi LaBrie repeated as the individual champion with a time of 19:40.3. Roberts’ TJ Chirrick was second at 19:52.5 and West Yellowstone’s Tiara Norris took third at 20:33.9. Brynne Hill of Richey/Lambert placed sixth and Scobey’s Mya Green was seventh.
Culbertson/Bainville took 22nd place in the boys’ standings with 298 points.
Arlie Purvis placed 81st at 21:33.6. Gunner Glas took 98th place at 22:24.1.
Soren Batt finished in 119th place at 23:43.3. Colin Purvis placed 124th at 24:39.8.
The top three boys’ teams were Cascade with 12 points, Hobson/Moore with 27 points and Manhattan Christian with 37 points.
Drummond’s Dawson Parker won the individual state championship with a time of 16:36.4. Manhattan Christian’s Cavan Visser placed second at 17:00.0. Cascade’s Peyton Johnson was third at 17:14.4.
