Froid/Lake Loses To Wildcats
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks fell in three sets against Plentywood at the district volleyball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 2. Plentywood won by a 25-15, 25-14, 25-20 margin to earn a divisional berth.
After trailing by a 17-8 margin in the first set, the Red Hawks fought back to 17-13 on kills by Mara Salvevold and an ace by Isabelle Nordwick.
Salvevold scored another kill for an 18-14 game, but the Wildcats struck for seven of the last eight points of the set.
Plentywood jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the second set. Froid/Lake then scored on a serve by I. Nordwick, a kill by Salvevold and a block by Jordyn Breuer. Plentywood, however, won the set by a 2514 final.
The strong net play of Brooklyn Nordwick and I. Nordwick highlighted play as the Red Hawks gained a lead in the third set. The teams battled back and forth, but Plentywood emerged with the 25-20 win.
