Gas Prices Fall 8.4 Cents During Week
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 8.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.09/g on Monday, Nov. 4, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana.
Prices in Montana are 11.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 49.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 1.3 cents in the last week and stands at $3.52 per gallon- the lowest level since 2021.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.94/g on Sunday, Nov. 3, while the most expensive was $3.49/g, a difference of 55.0 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 2.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.05/g on Monday. The national average is down 11.8 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 34.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
Neighboring areas and their current gas prices: Idaho- $3.23/g, down 10.3 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.33/g.
Billings- $2.99/g, down 9.8 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.09/g.
Wyoming- $3.11/g, down 1.8 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.12/g.
Seasonal trends continue to push down gasoline prices across much of the country.
