Poplar Drops Matches On Friday

Poplar’s volleyball team lost matches against Fairview and Harlem during the District 2B tournament in Malta on Friday, Nov. 1.

Fairview defeated the Indians by a 25-7, 25-21, 25-11, final.

Quintana Young led Poplar with four aces and five kills in the match.

Rebecca Gorder finished with 16 assists.

Angelina Escarcega accounted for 36 digs. Makenzie Crawford had three blocks.

Macy Tjelde led Fairview with 18 kills and four blocks. Kambre Kloker finished with five aces, 12 assists and 12 digs.

The Indians, who played the tournament without standout Braelyn Nordwick due to injury, then lost to Harlem by a 3 set to 1 set margin.
