Senior Profile Bow Leads Cheers For The Wolves
Three years ago, Wolf Point High School senior Jack Bow was encouraged to consider being a member of the school’s cheerleading squad.
“One of the girls told me to try out so I did,” Bow remembers.
The result was Bow finding his home with the program.
“It’s pretty fun,” Bow noted. He explained that when he started there were two other boys in the program. Currently, he is the only male cheerleader.
Bow said having a boy allows the group to perform more co-ed skills and to have bigger stunts.
He loves when the cheer squads perform on game days. “The games are exciting because we can show off our new kills and stunts,” Bow said.
A highlight was when the cheerleaders were selected Universal Cheerleaders Association’s All-Americans this summer.
Bow has been busy recently attending college clinics including those at Rocky Mountain College, MSU Billings, Montana State University, the University of Montana and Dickinson State University. Bow plans to attend either Rocky or Montana State and major in a science related field.
His favorite class in Wolf Point is American government taught by Ryan Wilson. Bow’s favorite teachers are Wilson and Leslie Larson.
Outside of school, he works about five days a week as a shift manager at the movie theater in Wolf Point. He likes the job and enjoys watching movies, especially comedies, when he can.
