Summers Earn All-American Status
Wolf Point natives Peyton Summers and Sierra Summers each earned All-America status at the NJCAA Division II national cross country meet held in Richmond, Va., on Saturday, Nov. 9.
Both the brother and sister are freshman runners for Dawson Community College.
Sierra finished in third place in the women’s division with a time of 18:23.3 in the 5K.
Sierra broke Emberlyn Hoffman-Gaschk’s previous school record of 18:49.1, Peyton earned 14th place in the men’s division with a time of 25:54.9 in the 8K.
The top 15 runners are recognized as All-Americans.
