By Bill Vander Weele

Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture officials are planning its traditional fun activities for the Christmas Stroll on Saturday, Dec. 7.

People will be busy earlier in the day with the Wolf Point Optimist Club’s Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wolf Point High School. A wide variety of vendors have registered for the annual bazaar. Lunch will be available, and there will a cookie and candy table for your sweet tooth.

The static light display for the Christmas Stroll is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Offerings will include naughty and nice hot cocoa by the Sherman Inn. The Optimist Club will offer burgers. Opportunity Bank will provide s’mores. The Junior Optimists will offer hot cocoa.

The plan is to have pictures for Santa Claus available.

There will be a Festival of Trees celebration taking place at the Elks Lodge. Other tentative plans include inflatables and hayrides.

During the chamber’s board of directors’ meeting last week, it was discussed that an advanced Quickbooks class will be conducted on Nov. 20 in Wolf Point. The class is being held in cooperation with Great Northern Development Corp.

Chamber officials are working on applying for a T-Mobile Hometown Grant, which is up to $50,000. Ideas that have been discussed have included replacing seats on the east side grandstands of the rodeo arena and adding a second restroom at the stampede grounds.
