Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 73 calls from Nov. 11-18.
The calls included the following: Nov. 11
Deputies responded to a call from the airport addition in Poplar regarding a female who wanted her husband removed because he was a nuisance. The male was found outside the residence with injuries. He was transported to a relative’s house. The case is under review.
Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice went to the Combs Apartments in Poplar after a report of burglary. Someone broke into a coin machine in the laundry room. The case is under investigation.
Deputies responded to B& S Quick Stop in Brockton for a report that a male stole some beer and fled the area. The complaint was set to tribal court.
Nov. 13
Deputies FPTDLJ and received a report from the Poplar area of a vehicle being driven recklessly and crashing into someone’s porch. Law enforcement located the vehicle. The female was placed under arrest by FPTDLJ.
Deputies assisted the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office for a welfare check of a family member. The male was contacted, and he was OK.
Deputies responded to a reported possible fight at a residence in Poplar. A male and female were arguing. Neither party were wanted on a warrant.
Nov. 14
Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department regarding an adult male who tried to assault a library employee. The male was located near East Benton. Devin Hill, 35, was arrested.
Deputies responded to Main Street Grocery in Poplar for a driving complaint. A vehicle was parked by a young female driver who doesn’t have a license. The vehicle was driven back to the house. Family members were cited to tribal court for allowing an underage person drive a vehicle.
Nov. 15
Deputies, FPTDLJ and the Poplar ambulance responded to TJ’s Quick Stop in Poplar for a juvenile claiming he was assaulted. The case is under investigation.
Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to East Fairweather Street to remove intoxicated people. A female from Poplar at the location requested a ride back to Poplar.
Deputies, FPTDLJ and ambulance services responded after an adult female traveling on Highway 2 near Culbertson hit a deer. The vehicle was totaled and on fire. The highway patrol was notified. The driver was given a ride back to Valley County.
Nov. 17
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ to remove an intoxicated adult male from a property in Poplar.
Deputies assisted an ambulance crew after a Culbertson adult male accidentally cut himself while butchering a deer.
Deputies received a complaint of a reckless driver heading on Highway 2 from Poplar to Wolf Point. The driver couldn’t be located.
