Lady Wolves Prepare To Battle For Divisional Berth
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad aims to compete for a top spot in the District 2B conference this season.
The Wolves return three starters from a season ago including senior Keeley Blount-Henderson, senior Amelia Doney and junior Kashlyn Speak Thunder.
Other Wolves back with varsity experience include Marley Moran, Breanna Blount, Ali Corpron, Amya Martinez, Karmyn Plain Feather and Ma’kenzie Jackson. Caitlyn Wilson, a transfer student from Malta, should also benefit the Wolves.
The Wolves have a turnout of 22 players.
Coach Cody Larson feels Wolf Point’s strengths are decent post play and strong senior leadership.
“We still have to improve on having a ‘workman’s’ like attitude,” Larson said.
Goals include being near the top of the conference standings.
“I see our team in the mix of things, ready to get to work each night,” Larson said.
Assistant coaches are Bif Loucks and Ryan Wilson.
Larson sees the pre-season favorites in the league as being Malta and Wolf Point. Wolf Point Girls’ Basketball Schedule
