Senior Profile Adams Provides Strong Roles In Wolf Point
Wolf Point High School senior Chase Adams has spent time in the spotlight recently during performances presented by the school.
Adams portrayed Johnathan Harker during the Dracula play in mid-November and then was an active member during the Madrigal Dinner on Nov. 22-23.
“I enjoyed it. It was one of my better roles,” Adams said of the school play.
He explained he especially liked his role during Act I.
“I got to talk with Dracula and had a scene with his coffin,” he noted.
The Madrigal Dinner was also a highlight for him this school year.
“It was more enjoyable this year,” Adams said. “It seemed everything went more smoothly.”
When not acting in front of audiences, Adams is a solid member of Wolf Point’s speech and drama program. Last year, he teamed with Ryan Schumacher to earn eighth place at state for humorous duo. This year, Adams is competing in humorous solo and already claimed first place at the Sidney Invitational. His topic covers a lifeguard who daydreams.
“I was fired for daydreaming,” Adams laughed.
His ultimate goal for the season is to place at the state drama meet.
Music is also an important part of Adams’ life as he is a member of the pep band and sings for the choir.
His favorite class is drama. His favorite teacher is Jacob Boysun.
“He’s taught me all I know about acting,” Adams said.
After high school, Adams plans to attend Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and pursue a degree in psychology.
He has lived in Wolf Point for his entire life.
“I like how close-knit the community can be most of the time,” he said. “Everybody knows everybody.”
