Brockton Boys Knock Off Frazer
Brockton’s boys’ basketball team enjoyed a fast start and downed Frazer, 88-43, at home on Friday, Dec. 13.
The Warriors accounted for the game’s first nine points on a three-pointer by Kameron Rattling Thunder and three baskets by Miles Boxer Jr.
Brockton put together a 14-0 run later in the quarter for a 23-2 advantage. Three baskets by Josh Firemoon and two scores by Rattling Thunder highlighted the streak.
Frazer’s Zayden Hentges hit a pair of free throws with 48 seconds left in the period, but a three-pointer by Jarid Fast Horse helped the Warriors to a 28-4 lead at the end of the quarter.
Brockton moved ahead 32-4 on baskets by Ronnie Black Dog and Quannah First That Walks to open the second quarter. Frazer responded with the next seven points on five points by Hentges and a layup by Gabriel Beston for a 32-11 game.
A three-pointer by Boxer and the scoring of Alex Bullcalf put the Warriors up 42-14 late in the half.
Frazer’s Cassius Smoker hit a three-pointer late in the half to cut the margin to 44-20 at intermission.
Brockton then outscored the Bearcubs by a 27-16 margin in the third quarter for a 71-36 lead.
Top scorers for Brockton were First That Walks with 18, Boxer with 15, Colter Nygard with 11 and R. Blackdog with 11.
Also scoring were Fasthorse with nine, Rattling Thunder with nine, Firemoon with eight, Bullcalf with five and Thomas Blackdog with two.
