Froid/Lake Girls Pick Up Victory
The Froid/Lake Red Hawks defeated Broadview/Lavina by a 42-30 final in girls’ basketball action on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The Red Hawks jumped out to a 12-2 advantage in the first quarter. Avery Johnson scored five points in the period.
Froid/Lake increased the gap to 22-7 with 10 points in the second period. Three-pointers by Addison Elvsaas and Leah Murray highlighted the quarter.
The Red Hawks held a 3116 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Mara Salvevold led the Red Hawks with 12 points.
Also scoring were Isabelle Nordwick with nine, Johnson with seven, Elvsaas with four, Brooklyn Nordwick with three, Murray with three, Keira Stentoft with two and Joelle Davidson with two.
Froid/Lake’s boys lost by a 69-30 final to Broadview/ Lavina.
The Pirates led 18-4 after the first quarter and 32-10 at the half.
Rylan Young scored 14 points for the Red Hawks.
The Red Hawks will host Plentywood in Medicine Lake on Friday, Dec. 20, and travel to MonDak on Saturday, Dec. 21.
