Gas Prices Drop By 6.8 Cents
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 6.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.77/g on Monday, Dec. 16, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 21.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 20.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has declined 1.8 cents in the last week and stands at $3.472 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.62/g on Sunday, Dec 15, while the most expensive was $3.38/g, a difference of 76.0 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 0.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.98/g on Monday. The national average is down 7.5 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 7.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
