Huntley Project Defeats Wolf Point Teams
The Wolf Point Wolves dropped both basketball games against Huntley Project during action in Lockwood on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Wolf Point’s girls lost to powerhouse Huntley Project by a 68-15 final.
The Red Devils gained a 29-3 lead in the first half and held a 48-12 advantage at the end of the third quarter.
Leading the Wolves with four points each were Keeley Blount-Henderson and Ma’Kenzie Jackson.
Also scoring were Karmyn Plain Feather with three, Kashlyn Speak Thunder with two and Caitlyn Wilson with two.
Paige Lofing scored 27 points for Huntley Project.
In the boys’ game, Huntley Project earned an 85-50 victory.
Huntley Project gained a 26-6 lead in the first quarter. Four points by Zandon Calder closed the margin to 26-10 at the start of the second period.
Down by a 41-16 margin, the Wolves accounted for six straight points on a basket by Xavier Lilley and four points by Andrew Williamson. The Wolves trailed 49-22 at the half.
A three-pointer by Jett Azure ended the third quarter, but Wolf Point trailed by a 69-35 margin.
Leading the Wolves with eight points each were Azure and Lilley. Calder had seven points.
Adding six points each were Rebel Mays, Reed Garfield, Williamson and Richard Campbell. Also scoring were Sean Hamilton and Cole Holen with two points each.
