Poplar Fares Well At Glasgow Meet

Poplar’s girls took fourth place in the team standings with 74.5 points during the Scottie Invitational held in Glasgow.

Leading the way was Angelina Escarcega with a firstplace showing at 100 pounds. The senior won three matches by technical falls.

Alara Cooper earned first place at 115 pounds. She won three matches including two on pins. Cooper pinned Roundup’s Keelie McKinney-Bruner in the title match.

Laityn Allen placed fourth at 115 pounds. She scored two victories at the tournament.

Blake Follette earned fifth at 125 pounds. She won five matches at the tournament.

Liberty Boadle took seventh place at 110 pounds and Masina Youpee was eighth at 135 pounds.

In the boys’ division, Memphis Mathison earned a victory at 126 pounds.
