Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report

 

The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 calls from Dec. 9-16.

Dec. 9

Roosevelt County deputies met Sheridan County deputies at the county line to transport prisoner Darian Damm, 30, to the Roosevelt County jail.

Deputies assisted the Wolf Point Police Department with an assault call at the Northern Lights Casino. Two males got into a fight. A juvenile male was transported to a guardian’s residence.

Dec. 10

Deputies assisted WPPD and Montana Highway Patrol of a report that a male was arguing with Child and Family Services officials. Deputies provided assistance.

Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice were called to B& S Qwik Stop in Brockton for a report of a suspicious check. The case is under investigation.

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ for a domestic family disturbance in Poplar. A male allegedly threw a phone at a female. No arrests were made.

Deputies responded to TJ’s Quick Stop in Poplar for a report of assault. An adult female said she was assaulted by her boyfriend. She was transported to the Poplar hospital. Deputies notified a victim’s advocate. A report was filed with a tribal prosecutor.

Dec. 11

Deputies and FPTDLJ responded to an address near Fort Kipp for a domestic abuse call regarding a male who needed to be removed from a residence. The male left the scene prior to law enforcement arriving.

Dec. 12

Deputies assisted ambulance services at the Hi-line Motel in Culbertson with an adult female who injured her back.

Dec. 13

Deputies assisted FPTDLJ near Poplar. A woman called and said she was in a white SUV and was distraught. Law enforcement patrolled the area and didn’t find the vehicle.

Deputies received a report of harassment at the Poplar airport addition. The complaint regarded an adult male who was no longer allowed in a female’s residence.

Dec. 14 Deputies assisted FPTDLJ in the pursuit of a vehicle on BIA Route 1. The vehicle left a remote for a possible burglary. Deputies caught up with the vehicle and detained two adult males.

Dec. 15

Deputies and FPTDLJ were called to Poplar’s east end housing. An individual claimed that their grandson was stabbed. The individual then called back and said he wasn’t going to the hospital and “didn’t want any trouble.”

Deputies assisted the MHP when a semi-truck rolled over into a field at 8:47 a.m. on Highway 327 south of Bainville. The driver complained of chest and leg pain. He was hauling production water. Ambulance services and a fire department also responded.

In addition, the RCSO had the following activity: Wolf Point city, one; Poplar city, five; Poplar rural, one; Poplar FPHA airport addition, two; Poplar FPHA, all other, two; Culbertson town, three; Culbertson rural, two; Bainville rural, four; Froid, two; Froid rural, one; Sheridan County, one; Brockton town, two; Brockton rural, one; Fort Kipp, five; total, 41.
