Frazer Girls Capture Conference Victory
Four players reached double figures as Frazer’s girls’ basketball team defeated Nashua, 76-37, on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
The Bearcubs jumped out to a 31-7 advantage in the first quarter and 45-13 half-time lead.
Top scorers for Frazer included Baily Beston with 20 points, Audrey Smoker with 17, Maci Fourstar-Sibley with 16 and BriAnna Beston with 15 points.
Also scoring were Isabelle Fourstar with five and Elli Mail with three points.
BriAnna Beston had 11 steals and Fourstar-Sibley finished with eight steals.
Smoker grabbed 12 rebounds and Baily Beston had eight rebounds.
Top scorers for Nashua were Dyllan Bergstrom with 16 and Katey Dykstra with 12 points.
In the boys’ game, Nashua outscored the Bearcubs by an 83-55 margin.
Nashua took a 31-18 lead in the first quarter. Frazer closed the gap to 40-31 at the half. The Porcupines then scored 24 points in the third quarter.
Leading Frazer’s attack were Gabriel Beston with 23 and Cassius Smoker with 19 points.
Also scoring for the Bearcubs were Bryce Fourstar with eight and Zayden Hentges with five points.
Noah Leckie accounted for 54 of Nashua’s points. Bubaba Pugh added 14 points.
