Froid/Lake Falls To Plentywood

The Froid/Lake Red Hawks dropped both games against solid Plentywood basketball squads on Friday, Dec. 20.

In the girls’ contest, Plentywood came away with a 4633 victory.

The Red Hawks kept the game close in the first half as they trailed 12-9 at the end of the first quarter and 21-14 at the half.

Plentywood led 33-25 after three quarters of play.

Top scorers for the Red Hawks were Brooklyn Nordwick with 14 and Mara Salvevold with 11 points.

Isabelle Nordwick added six points. Leah Murray scored two points.

Mallory Tommerup accounted for 27 of Plentywood’s points. Plentywood won the boys’ contest by a 74-30 final.

After leading 10-6 at the end of the first quarter, the Wildcats increased the gap to 30-9 at the half.

Rylan Young led the Red Hawks with 15 points. Carson Kelm and Robert Orozco added five points each.

Leading Plentywood were Ayden Kaul with 19 and Landon Flickinger with 16 points.
