Northside Students Entertain With Plays, Songs During Christmas Program
Northside Elementary School students entertained parents and community members with their Sleigh The Holiday Spectacular on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
The program was directed by Bridget Drummond. Assistant was Sonia Siason. Helen Welte served as piano accompanist.
The fourth-grade students presented Aarf on the Housetop, which told the story of homeless puppies in a puppy pound until a family comes looking to adopt. Songs by the fourth-graders included The Puppy Song, In the Pound, Something’s on the Woof and Home.
Rock and roll took the stage in the fifth-grade students’ production of Elfis and the Sleigh Riders.
The fifth-grade students performed the songs Uh huh huh, Everybody’s Going on a Sleigh Ride, Are You Lonely and Blue and Rock n Roll.
The sixth-grade students’ production was titled Bring on the Snow. The students sang Bring on the Snow, Deck the Hall and Frosty the Snowman.
The day’s entertainment started with Northside’s band playing three well-known selections, Mary’s Song, Jolly Old St. Nicholas and Jingle Bells.
