Area Gymnasts Place At Meets

Eastern Montana Gymnastics attended their first two meets of the 2024-2025 season in Dickinson, N.D., and Bismarck, N.D.

In Dickinson on Dec. 8, EMG had two all-around winners, with River Darby winning the entire bronze level out of 32 gymnastics, and Aubrey Ziegler tying for first place in the gold level for her age group. Six girls won event championships in their age groups as well, with River winning uneven bars and balance beam and Abby Garoutte winning vault in bronze. In gold, Kendra Linder won vault and floor (tie), Ziegler won vault, Ila Lehner won balance beam and floor and Peyton Cool won balance beam in their respective age groups. Out of all 36 gold gymnasts, Linder was first on vault and tied for first on floor, and Lehner was first on beam. EMG’s Gold team also won, out of all six teams. In Bismarck on Dec. 14-15, EMG had five all-around champions - all in the gold level. Kendra, Ila, Ava Hove, Aubrey and Justine Massar all had the highest total scores for their age group. In event placings, Cora Hove was first place on balance beam and Emersyn Knuth was tied for first on floor in silver. Linder (vault, tie) and Massar (uneven bars, tie) also were event winners in gold. Out of all 64 Gold gymnasts, Linder was tied for the highest overall score.
