Brockton Girls Outscore Savage, 50-38
Brockton scored an impressive girls’ basketball victory over Savage, 50-38, at home on Saturday, Jan. 4.
Brockton jumped out to a 17-12 lead in the first quarter and held a 30-23 upper-hand at the half.
Tamryn Bauer accounted for 20 of Brockton’s points. Also reaching double figures were Ava Lone Bear with 13 and Quintana Young with 11 points. Others scoring for Brockton were Claire Clampitt with four and Marlene Fish with two points.
In the boys’ game, Savage jumped out to an 18-4 lead en route to a 58-38 victory.
Savage led 33-15 at the half and 43-28 after three quarters of play.
Brockton’s top scorer was Tefton Bear with 11 points. Ronnie Blackdog finished with eight points. Also scoring for Brockton were Jarid Fast Horse Jr. with four, Weston Lamber with four, Kameron Rattling Thunder with three, Josh Firemoon with two, Colter Nygard with two, Quannah First That Walks with two and Miles Boxer Jr. with two.
