Frazer Downs Lustre Girls, 70-60

Frazer’s girls’ basketball team posted a 70-60 league victory over Lustre at home on Friday, Jan. 3.

The Bearcubs gained a 15-8 lead in the first quarter and enjoyed a 33-18 half-time advantage.

Down by a 55-40 margin at the end of the third quarter, the Lions cut the margin by scoring 20 points in the final period.

Baily Beston led the Bearcubs with 27 points while Audrey Smoker finished with 16 points. Also reaching double figures were Bri-Anna Beston with 14 and Maci Fourstar-Sibley with 10 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Isabelle Fourstar with four and Lola Romero with two points.

Kencia Brown led Lustre with 27 points. Lauryn Holzrichter scored 14 points.

Also scoring were Hannah Brown with eight, Sidney Klatt with four, Ashtyn Traeholt with two, Jaden Gibson with two, Samantha Neufeld with two and Lauren Fast with one.
