Oelkers Re-elected As Presiding Officer

Gordon Oelkers was re-elected as the presiding officer for the Roosevelt County Commission. This will be Oelkers’ fourth straight year serving in the position.

He was the only commissioner nominated for the position. His nomination was approved by a 3-0 margin.

Oelkers noted that he will not serve as presiding officer next year because he will have the responsibilities of being the president of the Montana Association of Counties. He hopes that, after this year, the commission will start rotating the presiding officer spot again.
